I have two cats and both have always been a bit sicky. They're each sick maybe once every one or two weeks. Our older cat (she's 11) has been sick everyday for the past week (sometimes before food, sometimes after) and yesterday she had diarrhoea which I've not known her to have before. It was also outside her litter tray (just next to it) which is very unlike her. She's quite food sensitive, for example she can't stomach purina but she's not had a change in food recently. She seems fine otherwise. We've made an appointment with the vet on Monday morning but I'm obviously worried and wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on what could be wrong? I thought maybe it was a bug but our other cat seems fine.

Has she been wormed, according to the instructions on the prescription?

If so, bring some poo to her vet's appointment, could be giardia, a parasite.

Or she could have an intestinal blockage?

Perhaps it's a blend of arthritis (another poster will advise on that) and a tummy bug.

Thanks for the reply. She gets wormed regularly. She's had no other problems with the litter tray since that one incident. Will take a poo sample to the vets though.
