Cat dandruff

She's itching quite a bit. No sign of fleas but dandruff like flakes on her coat. I'm booked in to vet today but would rather not pay vet charges if there's an over the counter or ready remedy? Any ideas?

My long haired girls have dandruff flakes occasionally but it doesn't bother them. A groomer suggested a teaspoon of butter. I tried coconut oil but they didn't like it. I try and give them wet food as a treat to try and get some moisture in their skin.

Thanks toddler. I'll try regular brushing. She loves being brushed. Grin

What did the vet think?.

I cancelled vets fluffy when friend recommended regular grooming and higher wet food content. She's not been out for six months but things are back to normal now. She's been very stressed. I'll give her a week or so to see if things improve. If not, I'll go to get.
