got home from camping today and had a call from the animal shelter to say our ginger boy cat had been hit and killed by a car.

They have had him from Sunday. DH and DS1 collected him and we buried him in the garden.

DS1 who is 10 was very upset. Just a bit sad really that he has gone. We put a bunch of flowers of his grave Sad His sister is missing him probablygladshecannoweatinpeace--

I lost my girl last week and I'm still really down about it. So sorry, what an awful end to your trip, and having to comfort your DS when you're feeling sad yourself. They leave a really big hole for such small people, don't they.

they do One. Hope you are OK. DS1 has been really very sad. I keep expecting him to come through the cat flap, he was a big old cat and really had to squeeze though! He was such a softy too and never once would scratch the DC, even though he had good cause! Poor Max, we will really miss him
