The slow blink

This handsome devil came was rehomed with me on Tuesday. He settled almost immediately after a little explore and some food.

He doesn't like to be alone yet and will follow us from room to room if we're moving around. Tends to lie down and curl up looking very comfortable but clearly still watching and listening to everything.

This morning, I was lying on the sofa catching up on last night's rugby and he was lying on my chest. He bestowed upon me his first full slow blink since arriving and then gave a contented purr and rolled over at which point he rolled off me and fell off the sofa and I laughed so now he's not talking to me

I am very honoured and properly in love Smile

What a gorgeous boy! I love the little white leg! Does he have a name? My tabby is the only one who does the blinking. He's so polite. The others just stare imperiously.

Did you do it back? It's pretty cool.

He's very handsome. Our cats do the slow blink / smile - except of course when they're not speaking.

His name is Sidney. I did it back. Got it in just in time before he fell off the sofa :) He's such a gentle soul. It's been ages since we had a tabby but our last one was very placid too, except when there were fish fingers around and then she was a sneaky little madam!

Grin. My sweet girl blinks. My boss girl just stares at me and controls me with her eyes Grin
