We've just got back from a few days away and our 2 cats were in a cattery (brother and sister - put in same largish run). The male cat is absolutely fine - back to normal already.

The female cat looks scared out of her wits and is presently hiding under my son's bed. Big staring eyes, looks terrified still. Usually at this time of day, she's sound asleep on my bed. She's usually very affectionate + friendly.

I guess I'm just asking for reassurance from someone that she will get back to normal, and how to gently help her along!

I'd try just to stick to the normal routine if you have a good one. If this is her first time away as an adult, she may have to think about her situation and relax a little. I wouldn't be going to try and coax her out every 10 minutes anyway - I'd just let her be and go about my business.

okay - thanks. I'll leave her be.
