Does neutering affect growth?

Just that really. W is 7 months old and going for the chop on Tuesday. He's still quite small but growing. Is there any evidence that suggests neutering affects growth?
He's an indoor boy with no ill effects of still having his nuts...so we could wait...

It's not a big breed though is it?.

The Bengal was done at 5.5 months because he was biting me every 30 seconds.

Not with my chunk of a cat! We had him done at 4 months, also an indoor cat, and he is the largest cat now! He's heavy but not fat, just very tall and broad and long and he is the soppiest thing ever Smile

No evidence in cats and rescues have neutering cats as young as 12 weeks for several years now.

Toms seem to have some more developed muscles and 'shapes' - eg their heads/jowls - than neutered boys but other than that, I haven't seen any difference myself.

I'd keep to that appointment, Mince. He could start spraying tomorrow - you just don't know.

Thanks all, will do...he's going to be in such a pissy with me!
