Put collar on...now she's gone missing!

In a nutshell, ,my two beauties have been bringing home far too many birds for my liking so have decided to put a collar with a bell on them both (quick release safety). This was last niggt. Both kept in overnight. Girl cat normally snuggles on our bed but didn't...just sulked elsewhere. Boy cat initially displeased them decided he actually quite liked his 'medallion' but girl cat went bat shit crazy, stopped talking to me, and since going out this morning has- unusually - not returned yet. Tell me I haven't driven her away by offending her!!

She'll have found/be busy finding a way to take it off. Grin

She won't have left home because of it.

We put collars on on our two new kittens. Jack pulled off Daisy's and she returned the favour. We didn't bother after that display of family solidarity.Grin

Has she turned up yet?

meant in a lighthearted way... if you're this nervous about a late arrival home I'm not sure you're cut out for owning cats. They get great quality of life out of so much freedom, so you need to tough out waiting for her to come home in her own time.

Hey
Ok so the little minx was hiding behind the sofa. Refusing to speak to me still. Have taken collar off. Never had such a moody cat in all my life of cat ownership!

As for the snide comment about perhaps not being cut out for cat ownership I shall let that slide as I'm a life long animal owner and work in the veterinary industry. Think that kinda qualifies me to give a loving home to a few more rescue moggies eh?

I think many people 'pace' though when a cat varies very significantly from an established routine. I know I do. Blush

Sorry - X post. Glad she turned up albeit sulking.

I guess collars are off the menu for her now?

MyBeloved · 26/03/2016 18:38

Definitely no collars for girl cat. She is seriously ignoring me. She wont even come out to eat her food - I've never knkw anything like it!
