My cat has been coughing and retching for a week now, clearly trying to get rid of a hairball, but it's not coming up! He's never had a problem with this before (He's 9 years old).
Is there anything I can do to help him, or something I can give him? I am out in the country side and far away from vets and pet shops, but thinking I might need to go to a pet shop and ask, but figured I could try the wisdom of Mumsnet first.
