Moving house

I have a 9.5 year old ginger tom who came to us at 4m old as a rescue cat. He used to be king of the hill, and pretty content, but our neighbour started feeding lots of cats and he's always been a bit stressed since. We only have a back yard and a small victorian house in a little street. he has defended his back yard territory, but it's very small. He's an occasional wee'er when he is stressed.

Now we are moving to a bigger house with a much bigger garden that backs onto fields but has a busy road at the front. The house is one in on a terrace of 4.

So I'd love any tips on how best to move our boy given the circumstances. Thanks.

Do you know if the new place has resident cats?

Don't know yet. Was thinking even if there are, there is just so much more space outside compared to where we are now that he'll be more relaxed, even tho there will be others to deal with. We have tiny yards here and cats 4 cats going next door..

Ah get you, no sign of any cats living in the new house when I have been there
