Two cat diet questions

Is it ok if a cat eats butter? Latest kitten is half Bengal & has an incredible nose for food - if there's any meaty stuff out on the counter he's up on his haunches sniffing (I'm getting better at putting things away swiftly ) & he's a demon for butter - I left the lid off the (small) butter dish this morning & next time I looked it was empty. He's farting a lot but seems ok otherwise. Will there be Consequences?

Other Q is that this week I've been giving them "proper" cat food (German stuff called catz) instead of Felix AGAIL & I notice their poo has changed from mid brown to almost black. Is the blackness a good thing???

It's not brilliant for them, I think the vet on here says lots of fat all of a sudden can cause pancreatitis. You'll have to swap to the lowest fat flora. No one likes that.

No idea about his leavings though.

Thanks, Fluffy - I did suspect that a lot of fat isn't good. He seems ok though (so far). I'll try to be more careful about putting it away in future.
