Carcinoma in cat

Beautiful boy cat(13) has been diagnosed with a removal of ademocarcinoma of his penis.
I've read bad things, but his tumour is in an unusual place & spotted early.
What is his prognosis?

What has his vet said, Bear? (I assume you're in close discussion with them.)

It is very difficult to say as adenocarcinoma of the penis is very uncommon. Be guide by your vet and the pathologists report.

Vet has explained very well. He did say it was a very unusual site for the tumour.
Has said that literature states that cats own immune system could see off any cancer cells that may not have been taken in the operation done 8 days ago.
Has also said it may not metastasise (but I did Google adenocarcinoma in cats which said the prognosis isn't great).
We are going to take a watch & wait approach. May not see vet until later in the year for booster inoculation, but maybe it will be sooner.
Thanks for your replies.

Best of luck to him. Let us know how he does.
