Kinky tails?

Am i right in thinking if your cat has a kink in its tail there is a good chance there is some siamese in there somewhere?

just curious as my tuxedo boy is coming up 6mo old and the bigger he gets, the more i'm noticing he has a distinct kink towards the base of his tail, about 2 inches along.

He's also getting quite a triangular sort of head, but i'm not sure how much his markings are creating an illusion as he has the full mask, a black tache and chin beard :)

I recall that my first Siamese - a very old fashioned seal point from the days when they even gave them names in the language - had a kinked tail and cross eyes. I think it's been regarded as a 'fault' for some years now and more or less bred out of them however. I suppose there could still be some genes around though. (And going by the ones I've known, if an unneutered male did escape, they'd be trying their darnedest to fraternise with every female in the UK!)

What is his temperament like? Is he talkative for example? Close at all?

He's very chatty, very affectionate and full of beans!

He's turning into a little lap cat, he likes to be on my lap or if i'm in bed he has to be up next to me in the small of my back.

He's only my second cat and my 2yo tabby girl is a 'near-by' sort of cat, but when she does come and give me a cuddle, he absolutely has to muscle in Grin

We can't possibly give advice without seeing a pic

lol, ok. i haven't got one where you can see his tail, its never still long enough to get a picture!

But here is the best one for the face shape and how his ears are set on his head.

You never can tell.

A few years back, a poster here had a litter of half-Siamese kittens (definitely were because their mum was a full Siamese) and there wasn't one of them with points of any description. If I recall, they were all black/ black and white etc etc.

He's a lovely boy by the way. Smile
