Dirty little paw prints everywhere!

Who the hell says cats are cleaner than dogs? my house is covered in muddy paws prints, no area is spared! I look like a self harmer at the moment as a result of trying to dry him off with a towel,

anyone else?

Are you allowing him out at night?

He has a cat flap and is in and out all the time, night as well, that's the problem with all this rain he is filthy and comes shooting through the cat flap covered in mud, I think he sits under a bush waiting for an unsuspecting bird to flutter by

Same here! Ours is long haired so brings half a tree and shed loads of mud in with him every time he goes out. He only really notices rain when it gets through his fur and as he looks like a sheep at the moment that takes a while and means he is lovely and wet on his return home. Good job I love the old swamp monster more than my carpets!

Mine used to meow for you to come and dry him off when he came in - OK during the day but not at 3am

We have a "paw towel" that the cats walk over when they come in. It mops up quite a bit of mud and wet. (But the slate floor has a lovely pattern of kitty prints nevertheless!)

My mum bought me a Soggy Doggy mat for the back door,it was meant for the dogs but works on the cats as well, except the one that doesn't like the feel of it and leaps over it.

It's similar to those microfibre bath mats, but doesn't slide about at all, it's been brill!

I've got covers on my sofa covers at the moment thanks to all the mud! Doesn't help much.

I have sympathy for all who have tiny muddy footprints everywhere.
