Smelly cat!

I have two six month old cats. They are on wet and dry food. One really smells. (The other a bit!)
It is intermittent. It seems to be really awful and putrid wind.
Stools a bit loose but not awful diarrhoea. (Sorry!) They are well in themselves and growing/putting on weight well.
Worth switching food? What's good? On IAMS dry and Felix wet at the moment.
Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Our little furry asshats are five months old, and are on Royal Canin kitten dry and whiskas wet. The dry is down all the time, and they get a pouch of wet between them twice a day.

Their bottoms smell like...well, cat bottoms - they do like me inspecting them wherever possible, but other than the day that girlcat got back from her spay, we haven't had any runny poos. They do poo for England though.

Oh, and apparently DH's cats were on Iams when he was a teenager and their farts were noxious.

Hmmm. I was convinced it was the wet food that was the issue. Had wondered about changing to Wellbeloved but it's really £££

Definitely worth changing - their stools shouldn't be loose and they shouldn't be windy if their food suits them.

Dry food isn't good for cats at all so I'd cut that from their diet completely.

Butchers classic cat food is decent quality and very affordable - £10 for 24 tins at pets at home.

If you can afford to spend a bit more, I'd recommend ordering online from zooplus. Brands like bozita, smilla, animonda carny, grau etc are far better quality than most supermarket type cat foods. May be worth ordering a selection to find what suits them best.

Thank you MsMims. Our old cats loved Classic cat food (before they needed specialist diets).
I hadn't heard of the other brands. Will gradually experiment.
Stools not exceedingly loose but a bit. I worry that and wind means the food clearly doesn't suit them. Concerned they may be uncomfortable and could be longer term issues if they aren't receiving the best nutrition.
Thanks again. Will pay what I have to for food that suits.
