Putting new cats in kitchen/utility....

Overnight. Is that ok? They do get annoyed at being rounded up (and off our bed Wink) they've only been here a few days and obviously can't be let out at night (nor would I in this weather regardless). Also, they do like to explore and have a good old jump around at night, so for sleep reasons for humans, giving them free run of the whole house isn't practical. Plus I can limit any new cat damage (chewed wires, accidents etc) and there's underfloor heating in there.

Does anyone else do this?

I am worried that because they clearly want to be near us all the time (rescue for a while), that it might damage our relationship with them and they might feel turfed out and upset.

What do you think?
