Probably stupid question about wet food and protein %

Still trying to find the perfect wet food for my fat cat. Tried her with some really posh 85% chicken stuff but it was expensive and she didn't really like it. She wolfs down Asda own brand pouches but they're only 4% protein/meat. Butchers Classic doesn't work because she only eats small amounts at a time so we end up throwing away 3/4 of a tin because it's deemed (by her!) not fresh enough once it's been opened.

So I'm after a mid-range priced pouch with a decent amount of meat in it.

Today I found the perfect product - possibly. It's Butchers Classic pouches. However the meat listed is a little....unspecific. It says the salmon ones are only 4% salmon and the chicken is meat and animal derivaties (44% of which 10% chicken). Only other listed ingredients are minerals and 'various sugars'. Does that sound ok?? And if not, does anyone have any other better suggestions?! Thanks!

Bumping for you.

I didn't know that Butchers Classic did pouches. I don't know the answer to your questions though. Could it be the the other major ingredient, making up the unaccounted for 55 per cent or so, is water?
