sick after worming

Gave the kittens half a worming tablet each. We did the towel method, curling them up and putting it in their mouth before stroking throat and blowing.

Boy cat took a couple of attempts and was not happy. Girl cat no problems at all, calm and swallowed straight off.

Fed them their usual kitten pouch each about 7.15, so about 30-45 mins later.

Boy cat has just thrown up big style in the hall. He has never really been sick - tiny amount when we first got him back in June, but neither are sick cats tbh

What do I do now?

Our cat was sick after worming tablet and vet said if it had stayed down a while then it would be fine. However Dcat went outside to throw up straight away - vet recommended spot on worming instead.

They do dissolve pretty rapidly (last time it had more or less dissolved in my hands by the time I got it in their mouths!!)

Do I feed him more food tonight before bed (they're having a pouch each morning and evening, 7 and 7, but they're waking me miaowing at 6am so I was giving another half a pouch each at night when I go to bed, they have dry food out all day and water)

They don't go out, and I admit to this only being the second dose ive done as I'm so awful at a. Remembering and b. Getting them in them.

I'll do the tablets again in a month and if he's sick again I will get drops instead. Can I get them from petsathome?

I tend to think they'll eat if they are OK to so p, and therefore would feed as normal. Not sure about petsathome - but do not bother with granules whatever you do! No cat ever eats food with them even tuna as Dcat just looked at me and miaowed when I tried it.

I can't do granules as with two cats I can't risk one eaten the others food, so vet wants direct treatments.

I don't think they have worms, I'm just trying to do the treatment (and failing at doing it monthly!)

I will stick more food down. He's fine in himself, though a bit pissed off at me, I think for the manhandling. I'm sure he will forgive me when I offer more food :-)

If you use granulas then pop them in the fridge for half an hour first, as if by magic that makes my cat eat them sprinkled in wet food!

I need to try again with mine especially after the recent live mouse debacle (I ended up catching it) and dead baby bird..... At 14 you'd hope this catching prey lark would be over.

He will of course forgive you (the slave) after more food.

Ooh that's interesting about the fridge - though I seem to have weird cats that will lick butternut squash soup from a bowl but not eat chicken or ham?!

Wow, live mouse?!?! I would go mad - I am petrified of them, completely petrified. That's part why mine don't go out yet!!!
