Suckling kitten

Our kitten is 3 months old. She like to snuggle up and to suckle an armpit, elbow or similar. Cue soggy jumpers. Is this normal? Should I discourage it, if so how? Or will she grow out of it? She seems very secure and playful in other ways.

My kitty, now 14 weeks loves to suckle. Her favourite is my leopard print dressing gown Grin
She makes it all soggy Hmm but it's so cute. When we first had her I used to let her sleep on the dressing gown at night,

Old boy, now 10 yrs, used to do it too, can't remember how long it went on for, not beyond a year I don't think,

Very common in cats that did not fully wean before they were separated from mum. Cats can comfort suckle up to 16 weeks, most rescues, back yard "breeders" and "oops" litters get homes between 8-10 weeks so they aren't fully ready to be away from mum.

It's like a comfort blanket for the cat.
