EvilCat has been spayed, we also have a St Bernard, would I be ok to keep her in the dog crate overnight (with litter tray, food and water) in order to keep her contained and calm?

She had the op on her flank internal stitches and glue on the top layer if that changes things.

How long should she be kept contained? Her litter stuff is normally upstairs to keep Dopey Dog from eating it as we have a stair gate and her food is normally on the kitchen windowsill, again she would have a stairgate to jump over and then another jump up to the food. She is a full time indoor cat.

I was going to say you don't need to contain them at all. But then I read the rest and I realise you do. I would go for four days, then she should be fine to do whatever.
