Help us name our new kitten (photos)

She's 8 and a half weeks, came last night, we don't know what her name was previously, I quite think zoe suits her. DP wants to call her Kiki, and DS1 wants to name her Texas. DS2 is just 14 months and has gleefully suggested "cat cat mew" while hiding in the carrier.

She seems quite feisty, definitely not shy.

What should we name her?

I'd go with DS1's suggestion. Always good for his bonding.

(And it shortens nicely to 'Tex' which can be yelled come food time and should be easily recognisable by her.)

She's lovely. Looks very confident. Smile

What a sweetie. I think she looks like a Kiki but agree with cozie about the benefits of going with DS choice. this is why ours is called after a sodding Transformer
Why does he want to call her Texas?

Fadingmemory · 22/09/2015 12:08

Sox, Babs, Negra, Bibby,Feisty

I have a kitten called Zoe. I think it's a great name for a cat. She gets called ZoZo too.

I do like KiKi though.

Oh my god, she is absolutely adorable! I think KiKi is very sweet - it sounds mischievous. I had a little cat just like her called Cleo after the cat in Pinocchio.

MissMarpleCat · 22/09/2015 12:20

She's gorgeous Smile Kiki is very cute.

All these new cats & kittens!! adorable.

Hmm thanks for all the input, DS chose Texas because of a cat he saw on TV I think, but he keeps changing his mind and doesn't seem too attached to the name, very attached to nameless kitty though. I feel like Texas is more of a ginger cats name, not sure why. There have been plenty of pokemon themed suggestions.

She's responding well to Zoe and to Kiki at the moment, but she also responded to Captain Paws and Doctor Pawsome (DS and DP)

She's very adventurous, doesn't seem at all bothered by DS2s shouting and chasing. Hopefully she's happy here.

Still haven't decided though. We literally had about an hour between seeing her and collecting her so never had much time to choose a name.

Roxie would be cute! CongratulationsSmile

Wearyheadedlady · 22/09/2015 14:21

Zoe is good, and Roxie is too. I like long names for cats, personally.
How about Little Miss Firecracker?

hiddenhome2 · 22/09/2015 14:36

I think Suzie is nice.

Dontbesilly · 23/09/2015 19:00

Mischief, Magic and Hex are my favourite names at the moment. She is very cute.

Seaoftroubles · 23/09/2015 19:23

She is adorable, Kiki, Zoe and Roxie would all suit her...also how about Sassy, because she looks as though she is!
