Last seen at about 8am, went for an explore before breakfast which is normal, didn't return to eat breakfast. He's never been out past 7.30pm before, I am so worried about him. We've only has him since February

We love him so much.

Lots of rotten things going on for us all, and he always makes us feel better

Oh no, it's a horrible feeling, isn't it?
Hope he turns up soon.

thatscottishbiscuit · 10/09/2015 23:16

Going to ring doorbells and ask people to check sheds and garages tomorrow, and put leaflets through doors

Oh, he is gorgeous! Watch him want to come in about 3am, does he use a cat flap?

timtam23 · 11/09/2015 00:33

So sorry to hear this, I have been in this situation with my boycat and it is awful not knowing. We went out very late to look for mine with a torch and call him. I also did posters etc and let local vets know. It helped to keep me busy as otherwise I was a mess. Mine did come back after 3 days, to my huge relief - hopefully your boy will just have been for a wander & will come back very soon. Keep us posted.

thatscottishbiscuit · 11/09/2015 06:20

No cat yet :-(. Cat flap is set to let him in but not out again. I am so worried. Didn't get much sleep, kept dreaming we'd found him then waking up and finding we he was still lost

How old?

Mine occasionally disappears off for a chunk of time. I've trained myself not to panic until 36 hours (happened just once). First time I was a stress ball though, he them wandered in just after 6.30 am. I can't imagine how bad he'd be if he wasn't neutered.

Hope your guy strolls in very soon.

thatscottishbiscuit · 11/09/2015 06:58

He's not yet 2. He's very fit and healthy. Hopefully that will help. I haven't eaten since lunchtime yesterday (this is the straw that breaks the camel's back, I have other massive stress going on)

All my cats have gone on walk about at some time in their careers, he'll turn up. [smile[

itmustbeglove · 11/09/2015 07:04

It's heartbreaking for you.
Our naughty boy buggered off for 6 weeks, we were all distraught and spent days searching, knocking on doors and putting up posters.
Then one evening he sauntered in.

Don't give up hope, I bet he turns up looking pleased with himself Flowers

maybeIwillmaybeIwont · 11/09/2015 07:17

Well, if he is locked in somewhere, he'll be hungry now. So as you're walking round the neighbourhood knocking on doors and posting leaflets, call him and listen carefully. And you must eat as well, can't be having you flake out!

One of mine got locked in neighbour's garage for three days, and was as right as rain the vet said. I certainly wasn't!

thatscottishbiscuit · 11/09/2015 11:53

Came into work late after another search - discovered he was hanging about IN the children's centre yesterday morning! There is a primary school right beside and they promised to check sheds etc. Various people said they've seen him (though yesterday morning, not later) - I hope this is a good sign. I've had a load of leaflets and posters printed and DH will be putting them up after school pick up.

Can't hear the thought of another night without him. I hate it Sad

I hope your handsome boy returns to you soon Flowers
My youngest went missing for 3 nights, it was horrible.

We leafleted the local neighbourhood and came across a girl who said he'd been playing with them all at her secondary school today - it's over a mile away!!

School caretakers are always wonderful, aren't they? I reckon they should run the country

He's had two dinners in a row and won't be going out again until he has a 42 collars and gps

itmustbeglove · 11/09/2015 18:19

Aww, what a lovely happy ending Flowers

Sparklingbrook · 11/09/2015 18:41

Such a relief. That feeling when you just don't know is awful. I nearly made myself very ill over a missing cat, not eating or sleeping.

Maybe keep him in for a few days? Have a lovely sleep tonight.
