My cat is missing

Not that anyone can help but I'm feeling frustrated as I can't do anything else. She's not been seen since yesterday morning and never goes too far so very out of character. Her sister is waiting at the door, hoping she returns. We've been out looking, registered with local animal shelter and it's just a waiting game. Feels better to get it out as only cat lovers will understand.
She's 5, tabby, lovely stripes and although timid with strangers loves a tummy tickle with those she knows.

Put notes through all the doors on your road and any other road with adjoining gardens asking people to check their garages/sheds.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2015 20:41

It was reasonable weather yesterday so yy to notes to neighbours to check sheds.

Freesia2013 · 30/08/2015 20:46

Thanks I'll do that, there are a lot of houses around here, I kind of hope she's been shut in while someone has a long weekend, as better than alternative outcomes. Then hopefully she'll come home tomorrow.

Sorry to hear this, hopefully she has just gone for a wander or got shut in somewhere. Definitely ask neighbours to check sheds/garages. And go out quite late with a tub of dry food, have a walk around & a rattle of the food, it's much easier to hear a miaow once all the daytime noises have gone.

can you ring local vets so they are on the alert?

i know how worrying it is :(

Lurkedforever1 · 30/08/2015 21:37

Have you tried putting it on local Facebook groups? And a few posters on local lamp posts, shops etc. Even if you're not on facebook yourself I'm sure a friend would for you. Definitely leave details with local vets. And ditto the advice about trying late on when it's quiet. One of mine who wasn't one for disappearing came out from a neighbours hedge at 1am with a wound, nothing too serious but clearly made her feel vulnerable, as she could only manage a slow limp, when we were calling earlier on with people about.
Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks all, yes on Facebook, we've been shaking food all day and I'll try again a couple of times before bed tonight. She'd starting sleeping at the end of our bed the last few nights since it got colder, miss her fuzzy face.

Any sign of her yet?

Freesia2013 · 01/09/2015 18:40

Thanks, no not yet. We had a bad storm Sunday night too. But have done flyers around a good number of homes and local RSPCA have added her to their Facebook site. Fingers crossed but it's just so unlike her, will update if she reappears.

Finger crossed.

Fingers and paws crossed here too. Try to stay positive, it is still early days (although I know it doesn't feel like it)
