Catsan - can it go down the loo?

We are getting two kittens in a few weeks time and are currently getting all accessories etc - yesterday the litter tray got delivered. We decided to go with Catsan as litter as one of the kittens has had it before and when I was a child all our cats had Catsan litter.
I heard now you can't flush it down the toilet - has anyone tried it and it's true? The cat litter will sit in the bathroom as I thought it was handy cos you could flush "used" cat litter and cat poo down the (human) toilet. Any advice!?

No cat litter down the loo. Double bag and in the wheels bin.

I use a slotted scoop and throw the poo down the loo with whatever litter is attached to it. No harm done. But when doing a full clean, it gets double bagged and goes in the wheelie bin.

No catsan isn't. World's best cat litter is or at least they used to advertise it as such.

Noooooo! Please don't the only things that should go down the loo are pee, poo & paper.
Most blockages in drains are due to inappropriate disposal of things that's shouldn't be down there. Yes they might go down your loo fine but somewhere else down the system they block up and cause misery for the residents who literally have to deal with a shower of shit as the system backs up and bursts out.
Guess what happens on our road (where all the new housing estate sewers meet the old main sewer) on a regular basis. Quite often it's due to nappies, cat litter, wet /cleaning wipe, sanitary pads, cotton buds, condoms... Which also come to the surface with the shit.
Please bag up and put in your bin.

I use smartprice nappy bags.

Anything dredged out of the sewage when it reaches the sewage treatment farms is sent to landfill and the council charge them for that so it puts our water bills up.
