Little Monsieur spent mid morning out in the yard. When I called him in, MCat stalked him, pounced, pinned him down then gave his face a thorough wash. Like a mum-cat. You could tell by little M's expression he was enduring it, rather than enjoying it. A few gentle bites were administered to the scruff, to ensure LM remained still. I didn't realise male cats would have this instinct, as they bugger off after impregnation, and aren't involved in kitten rearing.
MCat also wanders about, doing his mournful "MrrrooOOOoowW" noise if he can't find LM, or thinks he's been asleep too long. And makes a chirruping "Prrrrp!" noise when he's pleased to see LM.
