I'm so sad. We've only had her a month. I posted a while ago about the difference between domestic shorthairs and bengals and got great advice. We adopted her and her sister and they are both the sweetest, most loving cats - we completely bonded.
She was a bit underweight when we adopted her but no indication of illness. She got diarrhoea so we took her to the vets and she was admitted for a night, perked up and spent a week back here, then spent three nights this week at the vets and then was at a referral centre. There was the possibility of putting a feeding tube in but they wanted to get food into her orally. Then today she died suddenly and we still don't know why. We have been waiting for test results for two weeks - I think they're coming tomorrow and I'm dreading finding out that she had something curable but it took too long to find out. We're worried about how her sister will be on her own. I'm not sure why I'm posting really, just very sad. Even when she was weak this week she really perked up when I visited, sat on my lap purring and tried to get on my shoulders. I lost a cat I'd had since I was 13 a few years ago and I feel as upset about losing this one as I do the first.
