Amputation!

My baby girl Izzy had to have her tail amputated today.

She was out last night and when I opened the door this morning there she was with a completely skinned tail, all the skin and fur hanging off the end of her tail.

I feel awful and keep wondering how she did it.

Oh, bless you both. Likely the injury was caused by a dog or fox. I think it's called gloving.

Are you going to keep her in from dusk til dawn from now on?

She'll probably do very well without her tail although it must have been awful for her. I think that Lone has a cat with no tail as a result of amputation.

I will not be letting her or her brother Xander out overnight anymore! She is only 15 months old and I feel so guilty that this has happened to her. Yes its called gloving. I still have the image in my head now and is one of the worst things I've ever seen. I hope she wasn't in too much pain overnight. She was at the vets by 8.30am
