We mustn't laugh, but the posh arrogant boy just fell in the water butt. He got himself out and is fine, but very wet. I am not allowed to dry him, he had stormed off I expect to use my bed as a towel.

Oh dear! Kitty dignity taken a dunking! He's blaming you, I presume.

Watch out for the tried-and-tested Slugs On The Pillow revenge if he's anything like Mr C.

He is back and washing in an angry fashion.

I hope you took a photo of him. So you can taunt him with it when he's being particularly arrogant.

Nothing like cotton for getting dry though is there? poor boy.

Did he jump up thinking the lid was on?

Fluffy the loud flipped over as he landed on it tipping him into the water.
I can report he has now cleaned every inch of himself and gone off in a huff.

They're funny little things.

Mine when we first got her had a funny little habit of walking the ledge of the bath when I was bathing my youngest. It was like you could see the future.

Of course the bairn was the worse off when she did finally fall in as it was him that got the nails. I admit to being weak with laughing as she sauntered off, skinny looking shaking her feet.

It took another couple of times when she packed it in though

How embarrassing though.

How is he this morning? Our very dignified old cat once tried to jump across the pond to come for a stroke. Obviously it ended badly (he had made the jump successfully before, which I'm sure added to the humiliation). He slunk off, soaking wet and covered in pondweed and didn't reappear for a week.

Poor ashamed cats.
