pet insurance for kittens

We are the proud owners of two very sweet tortie and white 10 week old kittens, and our vet is trying to tie us into Petplan insurance. I'm happy to have insurance, just wondered if anyone has a recommendation for a particular company. They are girls and are going to be spayed (whisper it) if I can beat a large and very interested ginger tom (not ours) to it...

Pet plan for life worked for us. We rarely needed to use policy but when we did they were fine. Bit slow but contact was good.
I think some of the cheaper ones only go up to 8 years which is daft because that's when you are more likely to need them. But I'm happy to be corrected on this.

Mine is with tesco, really cheap and never had any problems claiming and we've claimed nearly £1000 over the years, mog is now 10 and somewhat accident prone ......

We're with Petplan. Big cat had an accident a few years ago and we ended up claiming £8,000. They continued to insure him and premiums only increased as normal (little cat is insured with them and premiums are the same). He now has a serious kidney problem, and last year we claimed the full £5,000 cover (he's over 10 so cover has decreased) and will continue to claim for the rest of his life. I'm not sure any other company would have covered him after the first accident.

I have no recommendation, but I would advise against an insurance policy with D..... L.... They're bastards at paying out.

We are with Petplan because they pay for the duration of a problem not just within one year, and don't raise premiums if you claim.
