Tell me I'm not a prat for buying this...

I say this offered on Groupon and thought I'd treat the cats as I got paid a bit extra this month. It took about an hour to put together and they LOVE it!! Ok - it's, er, rather large... but this is ok, right?!

Tell me I'm not a prat for buying this...

If they use it and like it then its worth the money

CtrlAltDelicious · 22/05/2015 19:04

Thank you - I think so too. I foolishly put a picture on FB, to the mirth of many of my friends! I stand by my choice Grin

It's fabulous! So how much was it?

footflapper · 22/05/2015 19:10

My girl cat would absolutely love that!! Grin

CtrlAltDelicious · 22/05/2015 19:15

It was £47 including delivery - not cheap but a LOT cheaper than ones I've seen in shops. Grin Having moved house, I've decided to keep my one outdoor cat in with the others. He's become 100 times happier, it seems, but I bought this to keep them all occupied during the day.

I've just noticed the black and white cat at the back of the photo:) Is that your photo OP and not from the advert? You should send it to the company to use!

thecatneuterer · 22/05/2015 19:17

That's really cheap!

Corygal · 22/05/2015 19:17

It is a glorious creation. I bet they love it.

KittensOnAPlane · 22/05/2015 19:21

if they're using it! great, my cats are annoying bastards who would ignore it to spite us

CtrlAltDelicious · 22/05/2015 19:23

Yes it's my photo and they're my babies! Grin
I might do that actually.
This is a bit tragic but what I really like the fact it's making them interact more with EACHOTHER - they keep cuffing each other in a friendly way and going for each other's tails! Very sweet to watch...

OP posts:
CtrlAltDelicious · 22/05/2015 19:23

KittensOnAPlane I was on the verge of crying while putting the damn thing together as I had to take it all apart first time round and while I was doing this, they were having a whale of a time fighting over the box!!!!

If anyone's tempted, they're on offer at this price on Groupon or £35 for the slightly smaller one. (Promise I work for neither Groupon nor the cat tree company..)

I think it's great. Never would have pegged scabbers as an indoor cat.

Have you watched the YouTube cats playing patty cake to dansom something or other. It's lovely, bit of friendly cuffing.

CtrlAltDelicious · 22/05/2015 20:17

Me neither, Fluffy, and I felt so guilty at first. But then he started actively coming up and lying on my lap, purring loads. If any friends come round he's an absolute tart, rubbing their legs, etc! I'm SO relieved. It won't be forever, but I'm glad he's happy now.
Just watched a couple of dubbed cat patty cake videos - not sure if they're the ones you mean but very funny!!!

It's brilliant. Your Fb friends are poozers (as my dc say)

RoosterCogburn · 23/05/2015 13:53

It's brilliant - I love the fact they are all using it.

I spent a fortune bought a smaller one and my house cat refused to have anything to do with it. She sniffed it once, walked away and ignored it.

It then sat in my spare room making me feel like an idiot so I ended up donating it to my local cat rescue.

Germgirl · 23/05/2015 14:07

I only have one elderly feline idiot but he would love this. You've done a wonderful thing & your cats must be very pleased :)

Pipbin · 23/05/2015 14:55

I think it is great. How many people's houses are full of cots, mobiles, toys and other baby and child related crap.
This is for your babies - your FB friends can do one. Look how much the cats love it.

DramaAlpaca · 23/05/2015 14:58

It's fab, OP. Love the photo.

gamerchick · 23/05/2015 15:01

I think it's brilliant... And a lot better than the 7 foot monstrosity taking up my living room. I felt a bit of an ah crap moment as I watched it get built and it just went on and on.

Yours is mint Grin

RubbishMantra · 23/05/2015 15:06

I wish I had the space for one of those for my 2.

And no, you're definitely not a prat. Nice to make the furry ones happy. Makes you feel all glowy inside. Grin

FatAli · 23/05/2015 15:12

Tell me it's in a spare room or somewhere not used!

It's fabulous for the cats, but I could not have it in a 'living' area of the house.

gamerchick · 23/05/2015 15:25

Why not? They're a part of the household and deserve their own spot.

In fact you're supposed to have something belonging to a cat in every room so they're secure in their
own territory apparently.

shaska · 23/05/2015 16:36

"In fact you're supposed to have something belonging to a cat in every room so they're secure in their own territory apparently."

I was under the impression that the cats own everything. They just let me use things from time to time.

gamerchick · 23/05/2015 16:54

Yeah they probably see it like that Grin
