I'm amazed by cats sense of direction

We moved a year ago. 10 miles away. I can't use the vets near to the new house because I don't like one of the veterinary nurses (she hurt Old Cat by trying to groom her coat instead of shaving it off like wot I asked her to do).

I had to take Old Cat to the old vets surgery near the previous house. The vet shaved her back and all was well.

Old Cat had cried all the way to the vets, but wasn't so bothered on the way back. We drive right past the old house. Not a peep.

We drove along the motorway and as I drove up our exit, she started to cry a lot. This increased as I turned into the housing area. She knew where the new house was even though she'd lived at the old one for ten years and we'd just driven past it.

Amazing. Kitties are awesome Grin

My old cat used to do this. When we went on hols she used to go and stay at my Mum's which was on the way to the vets. She would start chirruping as we got closer to my Mum's house and settle down when I turned the car to go in the direction of her house. If I kept going she knew darn well she was off to the vets and start meiowing and grumbling like mad. She hated the vets and was flagged up as 'troublesome' on her records. When we arrived at the practice the vet would say "Ah, it's you". Grin
