It's the end of the pet-free road for us - our sons have convinced us we need kittens or young cats in our lives, and we've cat-sat to see how we got on... Does anyone know of preferably sibling tabbies (can take two) looking for a (lovely) home with garden in North London (Bounds Green). Thanks in advance!

Have a look on catchat. They have a forum on cats who need homes and also a 'Find a Shelter' page which would give you details of rescues in your area - of which many have their own websites where you can see some of the cats they have looking for new homes.

Thank you! Will do. Am trawling the Preloved site at the moment, so right in the swing of it...

I'd avoid gumtree, people let moggies breed with no vet care etc and then sell the kittens.

Some shelters don't advertise kittens, they go fast and they'll have plenty.

You'll notice a lot of black and white cats and pure black adults instead, they are harder to rehome due to their colouring so they concentrate on trying to get them a good home on the websites.

Wood Green isn't far from you. Cats Protection probably have a branch not far away. www.cats.org.uk

Even if they haven't got kittens at the moment, they are bound to have some in soon. You could consider taking one/two slightly older cats who have been assessed. They will come to you with vaccinations done, flea & worm treatments up to date, even neutered (if older than 6mths).

You won't get that if you buy off Gumtree/Preloved.
