Cat vomiting

Hello

just looking for a bit of advice, my chap has been sick a couple of times this week when I've been out. Nothing too unusual although it seems to have been before he had breakfast which is strange.

He's been sick three times today doing that weird little yowl just before. seems ok ish in himself, maybe slightly dopey and was playing happily last night. Has explored the garden and hunted spiders today.

He always has a bowl of biscuits plus two or three sachets of gourmet purina. No recent changes to diet. I haven't fed him wet today but did offer him a couple of spoonfuls of chicken and brown rice Encore which he ate and then vomited a few hours later. He has a ld and wet nose.

just wondered what I can do, can I do anything to help and at what point should I see vet? He's nearly 7 and generally healthy

It might be a furr ball - our old dear does this about once a year.

A week or two of random puking and then we get a 'present' deposited on the floor and she's back to normal.

Careful where you walk...Grin

Fur....

Oh really? ! he does cough up fur fairly often so ill be interested if he produces a big one!

Yes, probably a fur ball. If he's eating normally and seems lively then I don't think you need to worry.

He's my only child so I do wobble slightly Grin

Just be prepared for him to unleash the furball in a really wonderful location.

Favourites here include the dining room chair covers, the bed, and in the middle of the hall floor in the middle of the night at some point before a midnight trip to the loo.

Also they look exactly like poo on first sighting, so you've got a moment of 'OH GOD' to look forward to there.

Oh yes they do don't they! at least it keeps them neat I suppose! Grin
