Worried sick, bloody diarrhoea. Any experience?

My lovely girl has had the odd bout of diarrhoea over the last couple of months. Didn't think much of it as she's always had a delicate tummy (pukes about once a week, usually after eating too much).

This morning I noticed she'd had diarrhoea again but this time it contained a small amount of bright red blood :(

And then this afternoon more diarrhoea with some dark red blood.

Have booked vets appointment for tomo.

Am worried sick. She's only three :(

Any experience of this?

She still has her appetite and plenty of energy (was running round the garden earlier today) - but maybe is drinking more water than usual (just noticed today).

Please don't be anything serious :(

It really could be anything. Try not to worry.

Got a vet apt at 630. She had more diarrhoea this morning but no blood.

I have it now too (tmi) - think it's from worrying!!

Will post an update x

FatBlueCat (age 9) had slightly loose poo with blood in a couple of months ago. It was repeated once, then cleared itself up.

VetGoogle said that it could be nothing serious; stress or a dodgy thing eaten, but if it happened more often to see a vet.

Hope your vet trip is ok and PatienceCat is alright.

Vet trip went okay. Vet doesn't think it's serious. Has put PCat on a bland diet for a few days. Then she will be gradually introduced to her pouches and some gastro friendly biscuits.

If problem persists then some diagnostics and alternative treatment.

She said she looked/sounded/felt v healthy. So I feel a little better :)

Good news. Hope PCat continues to improve and is bouncing around in no time.
