Cat poisoned with Talc

Hi all, our kitty has inhaled some talcum powder and it made him sick and he's been peeing with some blood in it for the last few days, he's away to the vet this afternoon just wondering if anyone has experience and knows what they might treat him with and how much it might cost!

Assume they'll do some tests. Are you insured?

Nope, they're house cats so never really get any problems :(

Perhaps the two things are not connected? Blood in urine could be an infection, with sickness that could be a kidney issue. I hope he is home soon and feeling better.

I hoped not but having Googled talc poisoning it does affect the kidneys :( he's not too bad as he's not having convulsions or anything, and he's reasonably himself, but it does seem to be the talc.

How is he today kittnemamma?
