Hairballs

Any recommendations for the best hairball paste? I'm not sure whether to spend more on Katalax or go for a cheaper option. So far, I have narrowly missed stepping on the hairballs in bare feet, but am dreading the moment I'm not so lucky.

I use Beaphar, only one hairball in seven months.

Best delivered in a Dreamies sandwich.

Oh good, that's one of the cheaper ones. Thanks Mrs.

I use the Trixie one these days, it seems to be more palatable and is licked off my finger or a tiny dip bowl as a treat. It is lighter in colour and texture than most others and is like the Kittymalt one which is very hard to find these days but which was really good.

Katalax is the same stuff, just more expensive and less appealing to the cat, they are mostly made of Vaseline/paraffin and flavoured with something that is intended to taste good.

Johnsons is dark like Katalax and not liked here, Beaphars has to be put on a paw to be licked off as it is not popular.

Putting on a paw can result in scraping it off the wall after lots of frenzied waving but I rub it on firmly.
