My lovely new boy :-)

After a bit of a bumpy road to find a cat, including being let down on the day we were supposed to pick one up (grrrrr!) - we have had the gorgeous Dougal living with us for a week now Smile

He's 9 months old and absolutely adorable - very sweet natured, and he's even getting used to my very noisy 2yo DS!

So nice to have a cat in the house again, as I haven't had one since leaving home over 10 years ago.

Gorgeous. He looks very chilled out:)

What a handsome - and relaxed - boy. My hand was just itching to rub his tummy when I was looking at that poto. Smile Does he permit that?

cozietoesie · 20/04/2015 20:18

*photo.

(That was Seniorboy's fault.)

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 20/04/2015 20:29

What a gorgeous boy! I love his name as well.

RubbishMantra · 20/04/2015 20:32

At a guess, no, Cozie. When they do that, they're just "showing the belly. Look, but don't touch." Otherwise you shall fall into the Be-whiskered Bear Trap Lined with Teeth and Claws. Of course, I could be wrong...

Dougal's beautiful. I do love a B&W. Your's looks like a proper little scamp.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/04/2015 20:41

Loving the whiskers, like they've been styled to sit just so. He's gorgeous op.

LadyR77 · 20/04/2015 20:42

Haha, he does actually love a bit of a belly rub! I am always cautious about it as I know it's not always an invitation to touch, but so far he laps it up Smile he's a very gentle, affectionate thing.

Oh he's gorgeous, that face is so cheeky.
May you and Dougal have many happy years together

Amy106 · 20/04/2015 20:49

He's very handsome. I love his eyes and silky fur. Congratulations!

cozietoesie · 20/04/2015 20:58

Yes - most don't permit a belly rub (Seniorboy being one of them) but there's the odd one that actually likes it and there was just something about that pose in the photo that made me wonder......

(Someone posted a cartoon of cat 'scratchability areas' about 6-9 months ago if I recall. If anyone knows of it?)

LadyR77 · 20/04/2015 21:21

Most cats I've had have done the "bear trap" thing if you were foolish enough to rub their bellies, cozie, so I definitely approach it with caution Smile

When petting cats, Dd and I always say they are playing a game of "tickle my tummeeeeeee; I won't hurt yooouuu" . We all know how that one goes, the fiends!

Zinxie · 21/04/2015 12:49

He's adorable! Very dashing. Great name, and terrific whiskers, too.
