Pearl has gone missing

Dh went out to do the school run and she wouldn't come in. I came in from work to a note saying she was out in the garden so I opened the door and there was no sign of her. I rattled her Dreamies bag, but nothing.

We think she may have got into one of the empty houses as we live on a new estate and they're still building. Dh asked some of the workmen, but they hadn't seen her. The doors on the empty houses are left open during the day then locked at home time.

I'm going to make some messages and put them through people's doors. We live on a small estate and there's no main roads nearby.

I feel sick, she's not a year old yet and she'll be frightened Sad she usually never goes out if the immediate vicinity, but the workman said he'd seen her playing at the end of the row possibly with another cat - a tabby whom I've seen around. She is very sociable due to coming from a large family.

I've been checking, and checking, and checking again and I am utterly delighted that Pearl is safely home again. Happy sigh. We luffs them so.

cozietoesie · 21/04/2015 11:13

Good lass. Smile

(Is her tail normally so big? It almost looks as if it's been fluffed up for so long that it's forgotten how to go down.)

RubbishMantra · 21/04/2015 11:13

Ah, that's brilliant news! Smile Smile

I've been checking your thread a couple of times a day.

I fear the day Little Monsieur goes over the wall. For now he's elected to stay in the courtyard. Like your Pearl, he's such a friendly little thing. He'd go off with anyone. Thing is, our courtyard's shared, so would the others agree to Protecta-Puss.

You could always ask them if you could install it. It's not hugely conspicuous from what I can see.

Her tail has now gone back to normal, but she's following me everywhere Grin

Old Cat didn't even notice she'd been missing and Fat Cat is in the huff.

... but she's following me everywhere...

Whatever adventure she had, it will have been a shock. You'll likely have a wee shadow for a few days.

Great news!

Bet she heard you were ordering the cat netting, turning the garden into a massive cage so wanted a big adventure before she lost her chance!

CtrlAltDelicious · 21/04/2015 19:26

This is really inappropriate sorry but I'm going to share now you've got Pearl back... Grin
Last year Scabbers my ginger tabby boy didn't come home one night. After 5 days of absolute devastation I finally accepted he must be dead.
On the sixth day said the Lord I had my fella-at-the-time round. We were just "in the middle of something upstairs" when suddenly the cat flap went and there was a thundering up the stairs. It was bloody Scabbers! I immediately leaped up and gave him the biggest cuddle and kiss - I was crying my eyes out! I can only imagine what a deeply attractive sight I looked standing there bollock naked, crying and cuddling a great big spoiled ginger cat!! Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/04/2015 19:58

There will be a website for it somewhere.

Just put dot.com after anything and it suddenly makes sense.

mrsdolittle · 21/04/2015 20:02

So very pleased for you. It really does feel like a miracle when they turn up. My New Kitten disappeared for 6 nights over new year so I know exactly what you've been through.
