Just woke up to find my Cat passed away at the side of the road , looks as though he has been hit by a car no doubt some idiot speeding as per usual .

I'm not sure what to do , I've had him since he were born , he and his brother were inseparable .

I'm not even sure what to do with his body tbh Confused

Sad Sad

I am so sorry. Flowers

Your poor cat. I hope he didn't suffer.

Do you have anywhere to bury him? Your garden or someone close to you garden? If not some vets do a cremation service. Maybe worth giving them a ring when they open.

Sending you a big hug x

GoldfinchesHiccup · 04/04/2015 07:15

Oh I am so sorry to hear this, it is an awful shock, you can either bury him in the garden (make sure the hole is reasonably deep so foxes don't dig him up - sorry) or take him to the vets to have him cremated - they will return his ashes and you can scatter them where you want.

You will find his brother is a bit confused, will look for him and may be a bit more cuddly than usual but I have found our cats quite resilient when they loose a sibling.

Sorry again, poor little chapSad

Cats Protectin estimate that 64,000 cats are run over very year - mostly at night. Sad
Very sorry to hear about your dear kitty Thanks

hodgepodgepanda · 04/04/2015 11:50

He had a hi vis collar on , people just speed down my road as no speed cameras etc Angry

A lot of drivers are arseholes. Our 14 month old cat was knocked down by someone doing 50mph on the 30mph road outside our house as they just had to overtake. Bury in garden (deep/with a flagstone on top as others have said) and plant a tree or something.

Nothing really helpful to add, just so sorry for your loss Flowers (and furious at drivers who cannot keep even vaguely to speed limits). Angry

So so sorry for your loss. We had the dreaded knock at the door with our Lady, sending you lots of hugs x
