BuggersMoggy's First Trip to the Cattery

So, the building work on our street advanced faster than we realised and unbeknownst to us, they started pouring concrete and plan to continue tomorrow.

BuggersMoggy is a sensible old soul usually but wet concrete = burnt paws training is one thing that didn't seem to take. He is fascinated with the bloody stuff. Hmm

Thus he's on a last minute trip to the cattery as I have to go away tonight and will worry sick if I leave him. Normally he'd be left with an automatic feeder & a friendly human would pop in if we were away for more than an overnight.

It's going to go horribly wrong isn't it? Sad

Not necessarily. He might surprise you all!

Thanks cozie - I am about to take him along and doing 'hand wringing and angst' because he's (to my knowledge) never been.

They have an outdoor run for him at least. I will take along his special cushion and I won't spend the next couple of days worrying about little burnt paws Hmm

He'll be fine - lots going on in catteries at Easter!
Take some of his favourite food with him in case he won't eat that which is provided….

Good idea marmalade. He can be somewhat 'discriminating' in his tastes at times.

I could probably take some cat milk too. He only seems to like water when it's sat in a manky puddle (okay so maybe he's not that sensible).

Bless his poor little burnt paws. Poor lad.

I didn't know concrete could do that.

At least he'll be safely stashed in the cattery, while the building works are completed.

I gather it's the lime RubbishMantra

Not sure if 'burnt' is the right word, but it can hurt them and of course they don't enjoy getting it cleaned off if it starts to set.

Fortunately it was a minor spongeing this time although you wouldn't have known that from the yowling as he came straight in making a fuss when it had just happened. His paws look okay, but I will be a lot happier knowing he's safe while the pouring is being finished.
