My cat is diabetic

That's it really, I just found out. Vet mentioned on the phone about injections, diet etc but will know more at his next appointment.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of the realities of it? Cost, what it's like to do the injections, what about if you go on hols, etc? He is an outdoor cat and loves a good scavenge, which will make it difficult to control his intake, but he would prefer not to be kept in.

Using the Vetpen rather than syringes injections are really easy, costs will vary from practice to practice. Diabetic cats tend to do really well, much better than dogs.
