Allergic to just one cat

I've had cats all my life, and we've had our current pair for 10 years. I have no allergies or sensitivities, however my girl cat (neutered) keeps giving me a reaction. It's not something I noticed for a while, it only seems to be the last couple of years.

It happens when she rubs up against my face. It makes me itch like crazy and sometimes brings my skin up in bumps. Last night I was stroking her and then touched my face and that too caused a reaction.

Has anyone else had this? She is the only cat I've ever reacted to and it seems to have developed over time.

Yes! I was allergic to one of ours - she doesn't seem to affect me as much now though, fingers crossed. And we have 9 cats, I've always been fine with the others!

She would always bring me out in an itchy rash if she was in one of those purry rubbing against me moods, and if she scratched me the scratches would swell up more than scratches from the other cats. Aloe vera gel helped! :)

I've just rubbed my hand against her mouth to check I'm still desensitised - so far so good!

Me too, just one of our two cats makes me sneeze, causes my eyes to itch and water, and other hayfevery symptoms. The other doesn't even if they curl up on my pillow at night. It has developed over time, and no other cat seems to cause me problems. I've had cats all my life
