Cats back!

8 months ago our cat went missing, she is chipped but we didn't hear anything about her. Tonight she suddenly appeared rubbing herself against my husbands legs! GrinGrinGrin

Unfortunately we got a kitten a couple of months ago and she never really got on with Arthur and has disappeared again but at least we know she is being looked after by someone.

I just can't believe it.

Good grief, does she look well?

cozietoesie · 15/03/2015 21:35

Bisom. Did she just saunter in?

CatIshoo · 15/03/2015 21:37

She looks really well and has obviously been fed and looked after. It was like she had never been away, she was wanting strokes and food.

I'm hoping she will come back again and the other cats don't put her off.

Little blighter has been cohabiting with someone - someone who obviously didn't get her chip checked as well. Still, she clearly found their charms wanting in the end, eh?

Thursdayisgoingtobehard · 15/03/2015 22:13

Love this! Cats are little shits arnt they!

cozietoesie · 15/03/2015 22:22

I would love to have seen your faces. You both must have been open-mouthed with shock! Grin

CatIshoo · 15/03/2015 22:50

My husband looked like he had seen a ghost, when she went missing he spent ages walking through the woods and other streets trying to spot her.

I'm not entirely convinced she will come back as she has obviously found somewhere she prefers. (Traitor!)

It really made my Mothers DaySmileSmile

Ah, bless you.

Cats can be arses can't they?

CatIshoo · 16/03/2015 09:25

After running away again last night she was back this morning. Looks like a trip to the vets this morning to get her flead and wormed.

Am not sure what to do about reintroducing her to the other two though?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 16/03/2015 09:32

She sounds like a lady of .......decided views...... so I reckon it will be the other way round. (A boss cat.) Has DH cracked open the salmon and Dreamies yet? Grin

(I take it she's spayed and all those good things?)

CatIshoo · 16/03/2015 10:31

She was definitely the boss before she went so I can't see that changing. Yep deamies have been opened and eaten with relish.
We are off to the vets in ten minutes to get her flead and wormed. Also going to get her chip scanned just to be doubly sure it's her. She was spayed before she went off gallivanting.

cozietoesie · 16/03/2015 10:47

Good luck at the vets. It sounds as if she may have been fed and watered during her gallivanting but not much else.

CatIshoo · 16/03/2015 11:32

Its definitely her SmileSmile. She caused quite the sensation at the vets and her picture has been taken to be out on their Facebook page.

Well a return after 8 days is surely cause for celebration - but 8 MONTHS??

She's well?

CatIshoo · 16/03/2015 11:57

She's very well. She weighs exactly the same as when she was last weighed.
She's back outside but isn't wandering very far. She'll be getting some roast chicken tonight.

thecatneuterer · 16/03/2015 12:15

Gosh. If only they could talk! I wonder what the story is. So lovely that she's back though.

cozietoesie · 16/03/2015 13:20

.....She'll be getting some roast chicken tonight......

Has DH started thinking about a soft anf freshly prepared bed for her yet? Wink

Jumty · 16/03/2015 16:14

For the past couple of years a very friendly tom (de pom-pommed) has made regular guest appearances for a few days then vanished. We'd love to know what he gets up to when he's elsewhere - unfortunately Dr Doolittle is retired so we can only guess.

cozietoesie · 16/03/2015 16:19

There's probably another house nearby where they're saying to each other over supper ' I wonder what he gets up to when he's elsewhere?' as well!

Grin
CatIshoo · 16/03/2015 18:38

I think we are in for some rough times, integrating her back into the house. She was not impressed with Arthur slipping into the kitchen where she was as well.
