Happy ending for the farm cats

Hello for anyone who remember me under another name.
As some of you might know, I've been living in a farm cottage for the last 18 months or so and have been adopted by three beautiful feral farm kittens whose mum brought them over into my shed aged 3 months or so.

Anyway, I'm moving at the end of this month and felt it would be really wrong to just leave them with no source of food when I've been feeding them twice a day. So they're being collected on Sunday by my lovely cat sitter whose friend in the Blue Cross will treat them, get them speyed and get them re-homed. I am so happy they will end up in loving homes - they're the friendliest little happy kittens you could imagine.

That's wonderful. I know the farmers said you couldn't take the kittens away. Are you just ignoring them? (Best thing!).

I don't suppose you'll be able to get the mum done?

Yes just ignoring - and hoping I get my deposit back! (Surely they can't retain it for reasons not related to the house!?)
When I'm away from the house I will certainly talk to CPL or similar wrt the other breeding cats on the farm. There are at least another four queens so undoubtedly will be more kittens soon. I'll get a pic of them all before they go and upload it. The torties are really beautiful and the ginger/white is beautifully natured. She lets you cradle her like a furry baby! The cat sitter is trying to convince her husband they need a new ginger addition...

Are you able to take your own cats with you?

Yes am relieved, but slightly nervous. In the unlikely even that I'm asked, I'm just going to say I haven't seen them for a while. And keep telling myself if I don't do this, they'll all three be pregnant very soon and there's three more litters!
I'm allowed to take mine with me, luckily, but am having to fork out a massive deposit of £800, so am feeling decidedly poor. Also I'm going to have to keep on top of hoovering the smart new house - Jon Snow looks like he's about to start his Massive Moult. Seriously tempted to buy a robo-hoover...!

Well done you for securing a positive outcome for them.

I know the feeling of despair that accompanies the mass moult - our floors seem to be permanently covered in pet fur that drifts across the place like tumbleweed.
Mind you, a few years ago when the worst moulter died I cried for weeks because there was hardly any fur (comparatively) on the floor.
