Sudden strange behaviour

We have an 8 year old female longhaired crossbreed. She has recently changed her behaviour and I don't know why. The new behaviour is being much more vocal than before and it's not for food as she keeps going even after getting fed, spending a lot more time outdoors and licking random stuff like the couch cushions and wooden floor Confused. We've had her for 4 years and only seen these behaviours in the past few weeks, any ideas?

Assuming she hasn't ingested something, although presumably there would be other signs.

Could be a form of dementia she is experiencing.

Either way, she needs to be vetted.
