Stinky cat breath

Hi, can anyone help advise what food just might reduce the stink of kittys breath (and ideally poops too but that might be asking a bit much). She is on whiskas kitten (not considered premium I know) but I can smell it every time she mews at me, so so gross and I totally hate the smell of it in her dish too. Surely food shouldn't smell this bad? There must be one that doesn't stink like cat food?

Whiskas is particularly smelly in my experience. How old is she? I feed all mine Butcher's Classic (orange tins). It's less smelly than Whiskas and is cereal-free and vet-recommended.

I've always thought that Whiskas smells the same as cat poo.

I give mine Animonda Carny and Cosma from Zooplus and leave Applaws biscuits out for them to free feed on.

The Animonda does stink to be fair, but in spite of that they have sweet smelling breath.

If it were me, I'd definitely take her in to see the vet. There could be something else causing the stinky breath.

How old is she? My kitten had really bad breath and when I asked about it, it can be a side effect of teething. I was also feeding Animonda Carny at the time. Its a good wet food and smells a lot less than the bad foods.

Are you feeding your kitty with wet or dry food? My cat is less smelly from all orifices if I give dry food, especially Hills.

H's breath could fell a herd of elephants! He's fed on dry food and has had his teeth checked by the vet so I think it's just part of his 'charm'!

Mine are fed the same food. One of them, poop and breath (especially poop though), reeks to high heaven. No dental or gut issues, she's just smelly. The other, fresh as a daisy. So I think it can just be down to individual cats a bit.

I am a big Butchers Classic fan. I now have six cats one with sensitive bowels and it worked a treat for her. lessened the smell of the poos by miles lol

My boy had smelly poo breath when he was teething the vet told me to expect it and God it was pongy. He's now just over 8 months old and is fine. He has whiskers pouches and dried food to nibble on.

Ziwipeak - it's expensive but makes a huge difference to the stink from both ends! Also because it doesn't contain cereals their teeth stay nice and squeaky clean and that saves you on dentist trips.

If she's still a kitten you could get her used to eating raw, if you're into that. Chicken wings, quails etc. Will save you a fortune and also keep her healthy and smelling lovely!
