He's driving me insane with his 'gifts'.
Today's was a bird of some description, there are feathers everywhere! Sometimes we just get entrails, left arranged on the cream carpet! Sad
He already has a bell on his collar, is there anything else we can do to curb his mania!?

Oh dear! I'm afraid I don't have much advice except to say that male cats seem to grow out of it after a bit. I found that investing in a carpet cleaner proved to be worthwhile!

One option, depending on your house, would be to relocate the cat flap to a room where he could do less damage with all the messiness?

No option for moving the cat flap unfortunately.
Looks like a weekend spent cleaning the carpets for us, what joy!

MCat grew out of it at about 2 years of age. Until then, you couldn't put your shoes on without finding a terrified mouse in it.

Thinking about it, a lot of the animals he brought back were live. Maybe he was lonely. Grin

Ah, he's 8!

A few weeks ago he brought a mouse home and proceeded to try and eat it in front of me until I shooed him out. I really worry about the state of the local wildlife population, I think he's decimating it!

You can buy anti hunting cat bibs online. The cat may never forgive you or putting it on him though.

I don't like it either.
