kitten missing

Hi my 6 month old kitten got let out accidentally this morning and has been gone for 14 hrs ! We have searched everywhere we can think of,put it on fb and phoned all vets . I have left food and water in the garden in the hope he comes home . My son's are still out looking for him . Please reassure me that most kittens when they get out do return.

Wha is the weather like with you? And is he neutered yet?

No was booked to get neutered on Friday ·It is freezing here it's meant to snow tonight ·

If it's his first time out he's probably gone for a bit of a reccy of his territory. He will almost certainly be back. You're right to leave food out.

Hi no sign of him yet and I can't sleep with worry .

He's just came back , heard him purring at the door . Kids are going to be chugged in the morning .

Great news - and now he knows that outside is horrible and cold and boring so should be less ready (with any luck) to try to escape.
