Why has my cat started vommiting everywhere?

Boycat (six) has, for the last week, been leaving me piles of vomit around the house on a regular basis. It all looks like his food comg back up. We feed him and Girlcat on the same stuff theyve had for the past four years so I cant imagine it is an intolerance to it, and Girlcat is not sicking, so I dont think theres anything wrong with the batch.

Its at the point where I am starting to lose my patience. Last night after feeding the baby I went to the loo and found a trail of it through the bathroom and kitchen. Cleaned it. then I got up at six as the toddler needed something, more sick in the kitchen and a massive pile on the thick fluffy rug.

Boycat seems well in himself, no change in personality or sleepiness/activeness. He is currently lay on the footstool like his usual self,and hasnt lost any weight.

Wtf.is wrong with him and wtf do I do to stop myself locking him out overnight?

Take him to the vet.

If it's been going on for a week then he is ill! Yes, he needs to go to the vet.

Could be a hairball/mat causing a blockage in his stomach - if they can't digest the food, up it comes. We used to put a little smear of vaseline on the back of our cat's paws every now & then, it helps lubricate any blockages and allow them to, erm, pass through

Always check with a vet though, particularly as this is unusual for him and has been going on for a week.

Off to the vet with him directly.

The occasional sick goes with the territory I'm afraid but such frequent vomiting needs to be checked out.

Definitely a trip to the vet. Cats are very good at hiding it when things aren't right.
Vomiting is a clear sign something is up, could be something small and easy to fix and if it's something worse then it's still better (and often cheaper) to catch it early.

To add, my lovely girl had lymphoma and was entirely asymptomatic, it was only found during her annual check up.
That's how good they are at hiding things..!

Oh lordy. Christmas + Maternity Pay + Poorly Cat.....

I hope he is going to be OK. Will take him to the vets asap. DH said he has been giving him.new treats (Dreamies or something?) and bought them about ten days ago, so it might be that they dont agree with him. We will bin them and see ifthe situation improves over the next two/three days. If not, off to the vets.

Are you up to date with worming them both? We spent a small fortune on vet trips before a knowledgeable 8-year-old told us her cat always vomited when it had worms.

Yep, up to date with worming and their last flea treatment was about three weeks ago.

Darn. Not the cheap and easy option then!
