Fleas

So I flea treated out cat last week I just had a feeling it needed doing no signs of flea but today I've now noticed flea dirt in the bathroom where she has laid on the side of the bath while it's been wet..

Does This means the treatment hasn't worked? Never saw any flea dirt prior to treating.

Ahh never actually had fleas before and now I'm all itchy

if you suspect she has fleas you have to spray the carpets and skirting boards with household flea spary as well, as the fleas dont live on the cat they jump on the cat to feed, what you treated her with last week will have killed the fleas that have jumped on her but not any that have hatched since then and hoover everything in the house you can hoover at least once a day for about a week after spraying, you have to think like someone who has ocd for a little while but worth it

Thanks yeah I treated the areas I could with what I had at the time I've since been to the shop and I think pretty much cleared them out. Bombs, sprays, powder etc all animals are having flea baths as well as their normal treatments.. Hate fleas!

Oh can we have a flea support group? I've not seen any fleas on either of my boys but we're getting bitten. I've done the spot on on them both and washed all of my soft furnishings and vacuumed... But I think I'm going to have to get some flea spray or powder or something tomorrow.

What's flea dirt? I'm marking my place here are I've not experienced fleas yet.

What sort of treatment should I be giving? What did you use Chattymummyhere, not liking the sound of what you have to do if they establish themselves!!
