Please can someone help?

I have 2 cats. Both neutered, up to date with jabs etc and I consider myself to be a responsible and caring pet owner. I treat my cats as I do my children.

Both were insured from the day I got them up until last month when I lost my job.

So, Sod's law, both of them have developed health problems.

One has an eye problem and one has a joint problem.

I can't afford to take either of them to a vet and I just don't know what to do. I feel absolutely awful. I have phoned local vets and none are willing to see the cats unless I can pay half the bill immediately which I can't do.

I have nobody to borrow the money from. I can barely afford to feed us or put gas and electric on the metres.

Can anyone offer any advice at all?

Or Blue Cross, I think that's what it's called.

Thank you. I tried the RSPCA today but couldn't get through, so left two voicemails but not heard anything back.

I will try the pdsa, blue cross and cats protection too.

The vet that I've always used and never owed money to have been taken over by another company who refuse to help, even though I've been registered there for ten years with various animals.

If you receive benefits I'm sure pdsa can help you.

I don't receive council tax benefit or housing benefit, so PDSA can't help

It looks like they have to provide pain relief in whatever form.

Yes - thank you, did mean to update but had other things going on.

Managed to find a vet who was willing to take a small initial payment and let me pay the rest off weekly. I was so grateful!

One has a URT infection and is on antibiotics, pain killers and eye drops.

The other has suspected arthritis and has painkillers and anti inflammatory.

They are both looking much brighter today thank God
